David Threadgill is back on top for the first time since Round 6; Yin Mo now down to 4th, and out of the top 2 for the first time this season. Looks like the last 7 rounds are going to get really interesting with how close it all is up there. Can Yin come back, or is he about to "do a Newcastle" after leading for most of the season? Round 6 was also when Jordan McKeown joined the top 6 and he's never left since; he's now 2nd, with #2 seed and reigning champion Stephen Hill in 3rd. Trevor Milburn is the round's joint-top scorer with 14 - he joins the top 20 for the first time this season and, quite astoundingly, Kay Waters, my mum, has somehow managed to get in the top 10. Gary Raine is the other player with an impressive 14 points, though with only 11 out of 17 rounds played he's down in 70th position. There's always next season Gary :)

Round 18 deadline is 30th March, 12:30pm. Enter your predictions here if you haven't already:

Joseph Askew is back on top and, in fact, has been for a couple of weeks in a row now - the "From" column is showing people's position at the end of February as I forgot to update it. Angie Stanger-Leathes has dropped but is still our top-10 longevity record holder; Robert Pentland, Andy James, and Pete Davies have all been up near the top for a while too, and Jason Johnston, who's mostly been in obscurity since the beginning of the season, is starting to look serious with 3 of the last 4 weeks in the top 10. Anj Luzanycia-Hird retains her personal best 11th place for the second week running, while Henk Postma joins the top 10 for the first time this season. Julie Roseblade is 2nd, but only on bullseyes... there are only 2 of the 20 teams that aren't scoring for her (which puts her one ahead of everyone else in that regard). Joseph has more exact hits, but Julie seems to have the most broad accuracy overall so this could turn into an interesting two-horse race, should nothing particularly drastic happen to the table. Here's a look at Joseph, vs Julie, vs the actual table:

Looks like they've both got Crystal Palace figured out, while Newcastle United is the only team for whom both players are more than 3 positions away and, therefore, don't score. Both went for the three newly-promoted teams to go straight back down again and, with Luton Town exceeding expectations over the last couple of months in particular, both Joseph and Julie only have 2 out of 3 in that regard.

Fantasy League

All of the information on the Fantasy League can be found at toontalk.uk/fantasy-league or on the spreadsheet linked below.

Jonathan Adamson - if you're reading this, I can no longer see your team on Fantasy Premier League for some reason. As such, I'm going to have to put zeroes in for your score. Please let us know if you're having issues - we'll be able to correct things retrospectively.

Mobile version of the Fantasy League interface is taking a while to put together. For now, please use a desktop PC or Mac, or a tablet, or "desktop mode" on your phone. If you have a phone (or other device) with Google Sheets, you can access the view-only full record of all of the Fantasy League results by clicking this button. I would recommend doing this if you have the facility, as it's the best way to view all the tables, fixtures, etc. and has a much quicker load time than the website.

Fixtures and Results - League Divisions

Here's a link to all the tables. You can also find these on the spreadsheet, with form, position history, full Manager of the Week and Manager of the Month tables.

With only 3 GWs still to play in the league divisions, we're getting ever closer to promotion, relegation, and playoff spots being decided. As such, rather than the league results (which are a bit shitty-looking anyway because there were only 4 fixtures and tiny scores in the last GW), here's who's getting promoted and relegated, if things finish as they stand now.

ree

Because this inaugural (well... sort of) Fantasy League season had people allocated to their divisions in a somewhat arbitrary manner, there's going to be a lot of movement with the playoffs as well. Every division but the Premier League has 2 automatic promotion spots, one playoff spot vs the division above, and one winner of a playoff between the next 4 teams... so it's possible to be promoted even if you finish 7th out of 12 in your division. Conversely, there are 3 automatic relegation spots in each division, as well as 4th-bottom having to face 3rd place in the division below.

TL;DR...

If you're not already in the top division...

1st or 2nd is automatic promotion 3rd plays 9th in the division above, to win promotion 4th to 7th go into a playoff and the winner gets promoted

If you're not already in the bottom division...

10th, 11th or 12th gets you relegated 9th plays against 3rd in the division below, to avoid relegation

8th is the only position that definitely won't change divisions.

Here's how the playoffs look, if the tables finish as they are now:

Bear in mind that these are the playoff fixtures based on the tables as they stand right now. A lot of these tables are close and anything can happen before the end of the regular season!

Toontalk FPL Tournament

ree

Here are the final scores from the quarter finals. Peter Thompson with an incredible 1-point victory after coming back from behind. Based on the average scores people have had, this is the equivalent of winning on penalties after everyone in the team has taken two or three each. Commiserations to Ian Thirkeld. Graham Clark will play Peter in the semis; John Thomas and Ben Harper will contest the other semi-final. The first leg of the semi-finals will take place in GW32 which takes place on 6th April.

Toontalk FPL Cup

This crept up pretty quickly, but the Toontalk FPL Cup semi-finals are finally upon us. That means this week's scores won't count in the league and, therefore, if you're not in any other Fantasy League competitions, you can make as many transfers as you like while these 4 battle it out amongst themselves.

ree

Best of luck to Rob, Graham, Enda and Alex for their upcoming fixtures.
