Played on the 5th February 2011 this match was without doubt the best game I have ever attended. It had everything that makes football great. It evoked every possible emotion in 90 minutes, from the depths of despair and wanting to walk out at half time ( I didn’t as we were sat with some Arsenal friends!) , to the heights of euphoria and everything in between.
When Tiote smashed in the winner (well equaliser but it felt like a winner) with his weaker left foot the place erupted. I have never heard noise like it. In the end Nolan was a whisker away from winning us the match. What a day and anyone that attended that day would realise why football is the greatest game in the world and supporting Newcastle United an emotional rollercoaster.
