Scorecast
The end of the season approaches... we have a complete penultimate round, during which NOBODY hit double figures in the Scorecast.
The final scores were as follows:

... and here's the top half of the table:

No change in the top 5, though a poor week for John Strafford sess him now only a point ahead of David Waters and Roy Parkinson, in 6th and 7th respectively, and barring a miracle, out of the title race. Stephen Hill's joint-top score of 9 sees him open up an 8-point lead with only a game to go... surely that's insurmountable, isn't it? Or could he have a nightmare and perhaps one of the next 3 could pinch it? Trevor Milburn, Rory Shoemaker and Colin Wesbroom equal the top score of 9, with Ian Thirkeld and Kris Woods on 8; Kris is the only person this round to have managed more than 1 bullseye (2).
As for the bottom half...

Stuart Latimer and Pete Charnock join the ranks of the 8-pointers; despite this, Pete is still our lowest-scoring ever-present so far.
Round 20 will be announced on or near the 17th May, when the Championship Playoff Final and the Champions' League finalists have been confirmed. I'll shoot everyone an email when this is done.
As for next season, I'm hoping to make this bigger. Still 20 rounds per season, but hopefully a few more participants as we've had a few hundred new Toontalk members since the takeover. Again, I'll send everyone an email when the new Scorecast competition's first round is ready for entry. Those of you who want to duck out, if you don't enter the first round you won't be included in further reminder emails, but the plan is to let anyone join in whenever they want and come and go as they please, so if you miss Round 1 it's not necessarily too late to join.
Tablecast
3 gameweeks to go (4/5 games for some teams) and, as usual, a tiny movement in the table means loads of movement in this competition. Here's the PL table as it stands (don't forget, you can always find this at toontalk.uk/league-table):

... and here's the Tablecast table:

Yin Mo off the top but has been hanging around up that area for quite a while now and doesn't seem to be getting tired. June Payne and Chris Turner manage to explode into the top 10 and Matthew Pike has a very impressive big climb, up 28 places from last week.
Neil Wilson off the bottom at the expense of Kay Waters, and biggest fallers are George Bland and Ben Hylands, dropping 21 and 18 places respectively.
Tony Bosworth, meanwhile, goes top of the league with a very impressive 20 points, including 5 bullseyes (Man City, Spurs, Villa, Palace and Everton). Here's the top vs bottom comparison:

Of course, it could all change next week... and next season, it definitely will. There'll be 5 points for a bullseye, 3 for adjacent, 2 for 2 away, 1 for 3 away, plus 5 bonus points for a correctly relegated side, and 2 bonus points for anyone who you've got correctly in the top 6. The tiebreaks will be (in order) naming the correct champion, number of bullseyes, and how close you are to Newcastle's true position.
When next season's Tablecast competition is ready, I'll be doing an @everyone in Facebook so keep an eye out for it. If you'd like an email reminder as well, please email me on rob@toontalk.uk
See you on the 17th for another Tablecast update, and the release of Scorecast Round 20!
