Scorecast first...
Well, well, well...
Not quite David Russell's reward of 18 back in Round 6, but what a SPECTACULAR round for Robert Pentland! I'm disappointed to say that three of those points were for correctly predicting Man Utd's 2-0 win (also correct: Paul Wesbroom. SPLITTERS!) but congratulations, Robert, on a sensational 17 points, the second-highest total ever obtained in Scorecast. Here's a breakdown of your predictions.
Coventry 2-1 Sunderland (2-1 - bullseye - 3 points) Everton 2-3 A Villa (0-2 - result only - 1 point) Leicester 1-2 Arsenal (0-1 - goal difference - 2 points) Bournemouth 0-3 Man City (1-4 - goal difference - 2 points) Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpool (0-0 - goal difference - 2 points) West Brom 3-1 Middlesbrough (2-0 - goal difference - 2 points) Spurs 3-1 Chelsea (2-0 - goal difference - 2 points) Man Utd 2-0 Newcastle (2-0 - bullseye - 3 points)
Eight out of eight results correct, SEVEN goal differences, and two bullseyes.
What makes it even more amazing is that this was not a high-scoring round! Other than Robert, only Roy Parkinson and John Strafford have hit double figures with 10 apiece. Not only that, but Robert is the first player to break 100 points and takes David's place at the top of the table after the latter slumps to an absolutely DISMAL 2-pointer. The twelve who scored 0 didn't enter, meaning that only Kay Waters and Michael Waters scored lower, with a point each. Meanwhile, John Waters got 3 and David Waters got 5, so I'm in touching distance of being the leading Waters with a half-decent 8 points coming my way.
Anj Luzanycia-Hird, I'm sorry to say that your 3 points means you replace 6th-seed Pete Charnock as the lowest-scoring player to have played every round.

George props up the top half, Adam leads the bottom half... only a point in it.

... and as for Tablecast...
Terrible Scorecast for my mum, but she's bossing the Tablecast league, ahead of Yin Mo only on bullseyes! Unfortunately for Anj, her woeful gameweek compounds the misery of the Scorecast. Still, we've seen how quickly this can all change... nobody has all three relegated sides at the moment and the maximum for bullseyes is 4, which seems low to me for this stage in the season. Sarah's also in the top half of the league... hopefully the men in the Waters family won't be fighting to keep their noses above water later in the season.
Well done Pete Charnock - you're this week's ridiculous climber... 18 places to 4th position. David Waters falls 20 places while Barry Winter drops 15 into the relegation zone.

Here's the top vs bottom comparison:

... and the current league table:

Not a lot has changed with Newcastle being away... got to win those two games in hand though, and finish above Spurs. Otherwise I owe my mate £20.
That's all for now - disappointing not to bring home the silverware but what... a... season.

Scorecast Round 14 is open for submissions now...
