Tablecast Update 21/08/2023

Two gameweeks down and, as expected, there's been a ton of movement over the weekend in the Tablecast table. I am confident that, unlike last season, this WILL settle down a bit with the new scoring system but, since Stuart Latimer attained the highest points total for Gameweek 1, we've had EIGHT people who've experienced the lofty heights of top-spot at some point over the last three days.
Before I tell you who they are, here's the league table as it stands after all the fixtures in Gameweek 2 (apart from Luton v Burnley, postponed because Doris Jones at 6 Kenilworth Road hasn't tidied her kitchen, or something.

3 teams can boast 100% records, 5 teams are yet to register a point, and 13 out of 20 have already won at least one game, which promises an exciting season from here on out.
Over the last few days, due to little changes when goals have gone in, the seven people who've tasted top-spot are:
David Waters June Payne Chris Collins Anj Luzanycia-Hird
Angie Stanger-Leathes
Kjetil Rykkje
Richard Rigg
...and...
Jim Mullen, who's climbed 77 places to sit at the top of the table, until at least Friday. Here's the table:

Kjetil Rykkje, believe it or not, was at the top of the table as recently as yesterday afternoon, yet he's 90th out of 98. Conversely, George Bland was rock bottom yesterday, and he's now 5th (just below me, I might add). Last season's champion Tony Bosworth sits in 12th, and last week's leader Stuart Latimer in 42nd place.
Kjetil is the biggest faller week-to-week, from 3rd to 90th. Biggest climber is Chris Collins, who's done the exact opposite, climbing from 90th to 3rd. Richard Rigg (18th), Phil Evitt (22nd), Andrew Lunn (60th), and Glenn Gregory (76th) haven't moved at all. Stephen Renforth has five bullseyes, followed by me, David Waters, and John Christian who have four each. Two of the current bottom three have been marked for relegation by Jim Mullen, Michael Hannard, Richard Rigg, and Stephen Ferrell. Nobody has picked Brighton as their Premier League champions... in fact, Brighton aren't currently getting points for anyone as nobody has them finishing any higher than the 5th place that Pete Davies and June Payne have predicted.
Of course, there is a very long way to go so league positions should be taken with a pinch of salt at this point. I'm hoping to put out an update every Monday, for the weekends upon which Premier League games have taken place, and I'm taking a snapshot of the league after each week as well so that everyone can see how much they've moved about between now and the end of the season. As previously stated, I don't see as tumultuous a league table as last season.
Anyway, that's all for this update - thanks for reading, everyone! If you want to follow the quasi-live (like... probably about 15 minutes behind) Premier League table and Tablecast table while the goals go in next weekend, you can always do so at toontalk.uk/tablecast.
For those of you who are in the Scorecast and haven't entered Round 2 yet, you can do that at toontalk.uk/scorecast.
Byeee!
